Ferrofort, the inaugural product line in Dr. Abidi Pharmaceuticals’ supplement division, was launched a decade ago with a primary mission: prioritizing women’s health and enhancing the overall quality of life for the community. Over the past 10 years, this product family has established itself as a highly trusted therapeutic solution among healthcare professionals, playing a pivotal role in the prevention and management of Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA).

To commemorate this milestone, Dr. Abidi Pharmaceuticals hosted a specialized event attended by over 70 prominent physicians and healthcare experts, reflecting on a decade of clinical success and community impact.

Dietary Supplements Manufactured to Pharmaceutical Standards

During the opening remarks, Mr. Nima Bararjanian, CEO of Cobel Group, emphasized that driving scientific and research initiatives is a core responsibility of the organization. He expressed optimism that the utilization of modern therapeutic interventions will continue to improve life expectancy and health quality across the nation.

Highlighting the national healthcare challenges, particularly the burden of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Mr. Bararjanian stated: “At Cobel Group, our strategic focus is directed towards therapeutic areas that generate the highest value and impact for society.”

Currently, over 6,500,000 individuals in the country rely on Dr. Abidi Pharmaceuticals’ therapeutic solutions for managing non-communicable diseases. According to the CEO, this widespread reliance underscores Cobel Group’s immense responsibility toward public health. He also highlighted the group’s expansion, noting a dedicated workforce of 5000employees and the strategic integration of Amin and Kosar Pharmaceuticals into the group.

Addressing the complex economic landscape and the restricted presence of international pharmaceutical entities due to sanctions, Mr. Bararjanian reaffirmed the group’s commitment to maximizing local production capacities to ensure an uninterrupted supply of vital medications.

A critical differentiator highlighted during his speech was the manufacturing quality of the Ferrofort family: “Our supplements are produced adhering strictly to pharmaceutical-grade standards and have been rigorously evaluated through clinical trials.” Pointing to the high prevalence of anemia among Iranian women, he expressed his vision for Cobel Group to remain a constructive force in mitigating this widespread condition.

Empowering Over 10,000,000 Iranian Women to Combat Anemia

In the subsequent segment of the event, Dr. Banafsheh Izadiyar, Business Unit Director (FH) at Dr. Abidi Pharmaceuticals, elaborated on the stringent quality control indices implemented across the group’s manufacturing lines and presented a comprehensive overview of the Ferrofort product portfolio.

Following this, Dr. Roshanak Roshanfekr, Medical Manager (FH) at Dr. Abidi Pharmaceuticals, shared the clinical origin story of Ferrofort and the critical epidemiological need that necessitated its addition to the company’s portfolio.

According to statistics published by the World Health Organization (WHO), 3 out of every 10 women in Iran suffer from anemia. Dr. Roshanfekr revealed the monumental impact of their intervention: “To date, Ferrofort supplements have assisted over 10,000,000 individuals suffering from anemia. Specifically, 5,000,000 patients have successfully managed their condition using Ferrofort Gyn, while another 5,000,000 have utilized Ferrofort Daily, Energy, and Duodenal formulations for prevention, treatment, and clinical control.”

She extended profound gratitude to the medical community, stating that the enduring trust and recommendations of physicians constitute the most valuable asset of Dr. Abidi Pharmaceuticals and the Ferrofort brand.

Beyond Treatment: Commitment to Public Awareness and CSR

Concluding her remarks, Dr. Roshanfekr emphasized that raising awareness about iron deficiency and anemia among women is just as critical as the pharmacological treatment itself.

“Through targeted awareness campaigns across various cities, Dr. Abidi Pharmaceuticals is actively fulfilling its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR),” she noted. “By organizing medical seminars, executing public health information campaigns, and hosting Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs for physicians, we are committed to continuously educating and empowering the female population regarding their health.”
